SHIRAITO FALLS
Nestled in the southwestern foothills of Mount Fuji, Shiraito Falls, directly translated to ‘silk yarns’, captivate with their ethereal beauty. Renowned as one of Japan's most picturesque waterfalls, its 150-meter-wide cascade originates from the volcano's pure spring water.

Descending gracefully from a 20-meter cliff, the water forms delicate streams akin to strands of silk, thus earning its poetic name. Accessible within minutes via a scenic walking trail from the road, the falls offer a serene escape into nature's embrace.
MAKAINO FARM

SENGENTAISHA SHRINE
It is the main shrine of Sengen Shinto with about 1,300 Sengen shrines throughout the century. It has been registered as a World Heritage Site as one of the components of “Object of the Faith in Mt. Fuji and the source of Art”.
LAKE TANUKIKO
It is known for a lake with a panoramic view of Diamond Fuji, where the sun rises from the summit of Mt. Fuji. There are accommodations and campsites on the lakeside, and you can also go around the lake with bicycles.
About

Fujinomiya

Explore Fujinomiya, a serene Japanese city nestled in the embrace of Mount Fuji. Located in Shizuoka prefecture, halfway between Tokyo and Nagoya, it offers a perfect blend of cultural treasures and natural wonders. Immerse yourself in the tranquility of sacred sites, embark on scenic nature walks, and savor the flavors of local gastronomy. With its convenient JR station connecting to Tokyo in under two hours, Fujinomiya invites you to experience the essence of Japan's majestic beauty. Don't miss the chance to witness Mount Fuji's snowy peak during the crisp, clear days of January and February.

The city itself developed around the Sengen (Asama) Shrine, the main Shintō shrine for the worship of Mount Fuji since the 9th century. During the early part of the Edo (Tokugawa) period (1603–1867), the shogun (military ruler) Tokugawa Ieyasu built an inner shrine, a hall of worship, and a main torii (symbolic gate). Those structures were partly reconstructed in 1925.
